Meet Patrick Burge,
DPM Board Certified, American Board of Podiatric Medicine
Patrick Burge, DPM, is a highly skilled and deeply compassionate podiatrist who believes in the power of personalized care. He’s excited to take ownership of Lakewood Foot and Ankle Specialists as Dr. Brett Gabriel retires following decades of serving residents in and around the Lakewood area of Dallas, Texas.
Dr. Burge began his educational journey at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas, where he earned his undergraduate degree in electrical engineering with a biomedical specialization. He earned his medical degree from Temple University, College of Podiatric Medicine and Surgery, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
He completed a residency at John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth, Texas, serving as master chief resident for foot and ankle surgery. While there, he did clinical research, won first place for a podium presentation at the JPS Research Symposium, and published several research posters at the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons Scientific Conference.
One-on-one, customized care is an essential part of Dr. Burge’s practice. He enjoys getting to know the people in his care and gains deep satisfaction in helping them restore or improve their podiatric health.
Patient education is a primary part of that process. By teaching patients how to care for their feet and ankles, Dr. Burge empowers them to take the lead in maintaining their health and wellness.
When not in the office, Dr. Burge enjoys many of the outdoor activities that Texas has to offer. He and his wife love spending time with their boxer puppy, Scout.
